“My bad side” is the opposite of “get my good side”—it’s the part we usually hide from the camera, the unflattering angle, the flaw, the truth.
Below is a look at the first images from My Bad Side.
My Bad Side
PHOTOGRAPHY SUBJECT CALL
My Bad Side encourages reflection on the interplay between outward presentation and inner contentment, inviting audiences to question whether self-concealment, a curated persona, or prideful defiance equates to genuine self-satisfaction.
*All identities will remain anonymous.
All portraits for My Bad Side will be captured on instant film, using a medium format camera. While the camera itself gives Nate more control over the settings, enabling him to take more aesthetically pleasing image, the image itself will retain that traditional polaroid/instant film look.
Do you carry scars, birthmarks, regretful tattoos, deformities, stretch marks, body image struggles, secret addictions, or parts of yourself you keep quiet? My Bad Side is a portrait series for those marked by the physical evidence of life’s hardships—those willing to be seen unfiltered, unpolished, and unapologetically real.
